SAMURAI × KENDO

Tatsuya was a great instructor. I had my lesson in English, and it was very easy to understand. The instructor went at a good pace and was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing!

I honestly had a great experience. If I ever have kids they can watch me do this experience. Joking aside I learned a lot of about the history of Kendo and how to behave if I got sent through a time portal and I was challenged to a fight. Frankly, I think I would probably die in that fight but at least I knew what I was doing.

Very good experience! I would take Kendo as regular exercise if I lived in Osaka. I will come back next time. Best to bring a group of people after lunch for physical workout activities. Great environment and easy to find. Instructor very patient and it was fun. Thank you all very much for the Kendo experience! I absolutely enjoyed being there.

I think it was a very good experience for me in Japan. It makes me very excited . I have had a great experience with MR.KENGO in Kendo class. When he teaches Kendo, he has a calm attitude and you immediately like his personality. Not only can you explain the basic rules and techniques of Kendo martial arts, but also understand the connection between the sport and Japanese society and a certain mentality. He instructed you how to put on kendo armor (quite fine), basic attack and defense techniques, and finally play against. Obviously, it takes years to learn, and people start learning when they are young, but this is definitely a good start.

It is my first time to know the traditional Japanese kendo，the beautiful clothes attracted me at first sight it was so cool ，and also can help people understand Japanese culture better，It feels amazing！

It was the best experience I had so far in Japan. The place is situated near Osaka castle and it`s very easy to find.

First, we changed into Samurai outfit and then the teacher introduced us the history of kendo. After, we got our samurai sword, called Shinai, and started the training. Both the teacher and the two interpreters were very helpful and kind. They can speak Japanese, English and Chinese so it was really easy to understand all the rules and how to practice Kendo.

If you are traveling to Osaka and want to have a full experience into the old Japanese culture, I totally recommend you to go to this class.

My best experience in Japan!The place is amazing,you can find it right in the center of the Osaka Castle.We changed into a full set of Samurai outfit,after the teacher introduced himself and a brief lesson about the history of Kendo,we got a Shinai(a bamboo sword)and started the training.The outfits are really super cool,I got my best photos during this trip!

Both the teacher and the assistants are very outgoing and friendly,they speak Japanese,English and Chinese.If you are interested in Japanese traditional culture,or Japanese animation,or just seeking for some place to spend like two hours actively,I definitely recommend this class for you.
