Q. Can you tell me about your experience as an English teacher? Chris: Sure. I’ve been teaching at another online English school for about 2–3 years. Most of my students are teenagers and adults.
Q. What language do you usually use in your lessons? Chris: I mainly teach in English only.
Q. How about your Japanese level? Chris: I stayed in Japan for about a year, so I can speak a little Japanese, but I’m still not very confident.
Q. Do you have any experience living abroad? Chris: Yes, I lived in Melbourne for about 2–3 years. I also went to Japan on a working holiday.
Q. Did you study at any school during that time? Chris: Yes, I studied at a language school.
Q. Do you have a university degree? Chris: Yes, I have a bachelor’s degree.
Q. Why did you decide to become an English teacher? Chris: I really enjoy teaching and communicating with people. I like helping students build their English brain and confidence.
Q. What kind of lessons do you usually provide? Chris: I try to make my lessons fun and engaging. I think I’m more of an entertainer-type teacher.
Q. Do you like anime? Chris: Yes, I do.
Q. What would you like to improve as a teacher? Chris: I’d like to improve my lesson structure and teaching skills even more.
