This sauna is absolutely wonderful in every respect. The architectural attention to detail and quality sauna-building to distribute and maintain heat and humidity is flawless, and all of the stoves and löyly strategies are innovative and state of the art but also true to Finnish traditional practice. The use of scent throughout the facility, both in the löyly and in the air and one of the showers, was creative and well designed but subtle and natural. The use of music and sound was also perfect. Having been to saunas across Finland and all throughout Japan I was very impressed with how kolme kylä balanced proper sauna technique and design with Japanese touches, like warm katsuo broth in the rest area or the placement of beautiful plants and flower arrangements, including an incredible old olive tree as the centerpiece of the garden.
My only critique is that this sauna requires bathing suits. This seems rather unnecessary given how it seemed most customers were men. The best saunas in Japan and abroad are usually fully nude, and it’s far more comfortable and relaxing this way, without wearing a wet cold bathing suit that makes it hard to warm up, so it would be ideal really if most of the customers are male to at least designate 1-2 days a week which are for nude sauna bathing. Due to Japan’s laws, I believe this would require the sauna to be either all-male or all-female on that day, but it would be a nice opportunity go enjoy the sauna much more fully if this option existed, and I doubt that it would be a problem for customers, given the gender ratio of people who use this facility.

息子とサ活で訪れましたが、最高でした。
6セット(最後は熱波)こなしましたが、サウナも水風呂も整いチェアも最高でした。
