日本の布と和紙でつくる がま口ワークショップ（浅草・かっぱ橋）

日本の布と和紙を使って、がま口雑貨を作るワークショップです。
東京・浅草・かっぱ橋でできる日本文化体験です。

針と糸は使わないので、はじめての方でも安心してご参加いただけます。
制作時間は約1時間です。

次の中から1つ選んで作ります。
・小銭入れ
・カードケース
・ペンケース
・めがねケース

さらに、ちびがま口も1つ作ります。
合計2個の作品を作り、当日持ち帰ることができます。

布は着物の古布、紙は日本の和紙を使用しています。
着物や日本人形、建物の内装などに使われていた布や紙を再利用した、アップサイクル体験です。

色や柄は毎回異なります。同じ柄がない場合もあります。
その時の出会いを楽しんでください。

旅行の思い出や、日本のお土産にもおすすめです。
日本語が分からない方でもご参加いただけます。

東京・浅草・かっぱ橋／浅草寺・上野からも近い場所です。

Japanese Cultural Experience in Tokyo – Make Your Own Gamaguchi Pouch

This is a workshop where you can make your own gamaguchi pouch using Japanese fabric and traditional washi paper.
It is a Japanese cultural experience in Asakusa, Tokyo.

No sewing is required, so beginners are very welcome.
The workshop takes about 1 hour.

You can choose one item to make:

Coin purse

Card case

Pen case

Glasses case

In addition, you will also make one small gamaguchi pouch.
You will make two items in total and can take them home on the same day.

We use recycled kimono fabric and traditional Japanese washi paper.
These materials were originally used for kimono, Japanese dolls, and interior decoration.
This is an upcycling workshop using traditional Japanese materials.

Colors and patterns vary each time, and the same pattern may not be available.
Please enjoy the one-of-a-kind encounter.

This workshop is recommended as a travel memory or a souvenir from Japan.
No Japanese language is required.
Solo travelers and children are welcome.

伊勢型紙ポストカード染め体験（浅草・かっぱ橋）

伊勢型紙は、着物の型染めに使われる日本の伝統工芸です。
三重県鈴鹿市で千年以上続いています。

伊勢型紙は、「型彫師」という職人が、和紙を加工した丈夫な紙に彫刻刀で細かい文様を彫って作ります。
細かい型紙では、約3cmの中に900以上の文様が彫られています。

このワークショップでは、伝統工芸士・今坂千秋さんが彫った本物の伊勢型紙を使って、ポストカードを染めます。
好きな型紙を選び、好きな色で染めて、オリジナルのポストカードを作ります。

完成したポストカードは当日持ち帰ることができます。
大切な人へのメッセージカードとして送ったり、東京旅行の思い出として自分宛に送るのもおすすめです。

図案は10種類以上あり、くじら、ソフトクリーム、お花など、子供でも簡単にできる図案もあります。
大人から子供まで楽しめるワークショップです。

所要時間は約1〜2時間。
浅草や上野から近く、観光の途中でも参加できます。

Ise Katagami Stencil Dyeing Workshop in Asakusa, Tokyo

Ise Katagami is a traditional Japanese stencil used for dyeing kimono fabrics.
This craft has been practiced for over 1,000 years in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture.

Ise Katagami is made by master craftsmen who carve very fine patterns into specially processed Japanese paper using small carving knives.
Some detailed stencils contain more than 900 patterns within just 3 cm.

In this workshop, you will use authentic Ise Katagami stencils carved by traditional craft master Mr. Chiaki Imasaka to dye your own postcard.
You can choose your favorite stencil and colors to create an original postcard.

You can take your postcard home on the same day.
It can be used as a message card for someone special, or you can mail it to yourself as a memory of your trip to Tokyo.

We have more than 10 stencil designs, including whales, soft-serve ice cream, flowers, and other easy designs for children.
This workshop is enjoyable for both adults and children.

Duration: about 1–2 hours.
Our shop is located in Asakusa / Kappabashi, near Sensoji Temple and Ueno area, making it easy to join during your trip.
