Ma Place means “My place” in French. I believe that learning another language is like having another place where you belong. My Japanese lessons will be a “place” where you can sigh with relief and be filled with energy. 
Welcome to “Ma Place”. I will be glad if you can add it as one of your places.

Teacher profile／
20 years experience doing secretarial and office work in private enterprises such as manufacturers and trading companies, and also at educational institutions such as universities. This allows me to support you with, not only your everyday Japanese, but also either Japanese for work and "Academic Japanese". Bachelor of Arts in Japanese literature at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto.

Lesson time／
The lesson time below is negotiable. Don't hesitate to contact me.
Weekdays after 6PM and Saturdays lesson time slots are basically available for online lessons only but conditions are negociable. For morning persons or those who live out of Japan, I can also give online lessons from 4:30 to 6:30AM (JST).

This is the reading comprehension passage I used last week for a JLPT N2 level lesson.

動詞の受身形と可能形が多く、読むのに苦戦しているようでした。

The student seemed to have trouble reading, as there were a lot of passive and potential forms of verbs.

L'étudiante avait l'air d'avoir du mal à lire, car il y avait beaucoup de verbes à la forme passive et potentielle.

意外にも「れる・られる」の発音が苦手な人は多いですね。

Surprisingly, many Japanese learners have difficulty pronouncing "reru" and "rareru".

À ma surprise, un grand nombre d'apprenants de japonais ont des difficultés à prononcer « reru » et « rareru ».

「意外にも」と書いたのは、私自身が英語とフランス語のRに苦労してきたからです。

I wrote "Surprisingly" because I myself have struggled with the R sounds in English and French.

J'ai écrit « À ma surprise » parce que j'ai moi-même eu du mal à prononcer les sons R en anglais et en français.

外国人にとって、日本語のRは朝飯前だろうと思っていたのです。

So, I thought that the Japanese R sound would be a piece of cake for non-Japanese!

Donc, je pensais que le R en japonais était du gâteau pour les étrangers !

そんな私は今、中国語のRに苦心しています。

As for me, I'm currently struggling with the pronunciation of the Chinese R sound.

Quant à moi, je suis actuellement en train de lutter avec la prononciation du R chinois.

お気づきかもしれませんが、今回のキーワードは「苦」です。

As you may have noticed, the keyword for this time is 苦: struggling, trouble, pain, suffering, difficulty, hardship, etc.

Comme vous l'avez peut-être remarqué, le mot clé de cette fois est 苦 : souffrance, peine, difficultés, épreuves, etc.

「苦」を含む言葉、「苦戦（くせん）」「苦手（にがて）」「苦労（くろう）」「苦心（くしん）」を使いました。

I used words containing 苦: 苦戦, 苦手, 苦労 and 苦心.

J'ai utilisé des mots qui contiennent 苦 : 苦戦, 苦手, 苦労 et 苦心.

外国語学習は、苦あれば楽ありです。

There's no pleasure without pain when it comes to foreign language learning.

Il n'y a pas de plaisir sans peine dans l'apprentissage des langues étrangères.

せめてレッスン中は音読を楽しんでくれたら嬉しいのですが。

I hope my students enjoy reading aloud at least during our lessons.

After all, I believe it is more important to focus on being understandable than on being perfect.

Après tout, je crois qu'il est plus important de se concentrer sur une prononciation compréhensible que de viser une prononciation parfaite.
