中山コーヒー・ハーブ園

Nコースの午後の部を利用しました。

初めにコーヒー園内の案内をしてもらい、軽トラの荷台に乗ってコーヒー畑へ。コーヒーの実を収穫して水に浮かべて選別、果肉を剥いて中の豆を洗い乾燥させて焙煎、収穫から焙煎終わるまで大体2時間半くらいでしょうか。最後の焙煎は30分間ほどひたすら焙煎器をコンロの上で揺らすんですが、だんだん無の境地になります。

最後に出来たコーヒーを飲んでいると、園内の鳥の声や森の香りもあいまって最高に癒されました。

全てを手作業で行うことでコーヒー作りの大変さを知ると共に、コーヒーの歴史に思いを馳せる時間になりました。

We had a fantastic coffee harvesting and tasting tour at Nakayama coffee farm led by Ryusei-san. It was exciting and educational to be able to experience hand picking coffee cherries to roasting and drinking fresh coffee. The coffee cherry tea, coffee leaf tea, and coffee cherry cake were equally impressive. Ryusei-san was also an excellent guide, friendly, funny, and informed, doing his best to answer all our questions despite the language barrier. Highly recommend booking this tour!

I'm so happy I chose to visit Nakayama Coffee Farm! From coffee picking to tasting the final product, I've learned a lot about the meticulous work that goes into cultivating really good coffee. So thankful for the wonderful staff that explained the whole process and walked me through each step. So sorry I forgot his name, but he has really good English pronunciation-- thanks for making the tour even more fun!
