Mika Otani who leads Atelier SOKA is an active Ikebana artist . She is making a powerful huge arrangement in movie studios, events, restaurants, and fashion show.
A certified Ikebana master, 1st grade professor (RIJI in Japanese), authorized by Sogetsu School of Ikebana, one of the top Ikebana schools in Japan.

今年の4月からお世話になっていますが、毎回、目から鱗の発見と驚きがあります。私は初心者ではなく結構長い経験を積んでいましたが、大谷先生の指摘はいつも適切で、本当に勉強になります。お教室の雰囲気も温かく、皆さんの生ける花を見ていることも楽しく勉強になります。

I highly recommend this Ikebana experience which exceeded my expectations. Ai is a skilled and natural teacher as well as an artist. Her gentle encouragement and wisdom makes this class more than just informative . It is truly peaceful and refreshing. You will learn the basics of ikebana as well as the deep and interesting purposes behind the “rules”. Then you will add your own selections and creativity to the structure ikebana provides and make something truly unique from this experience with Ai. I hope to come again and learn more when I come back to Japan. This is a five star experience in every way!
