What we’ll do:
You will learn the fundamental Ikebana flower style, the basic upright style of Sogetsu school which is one of the biggest schools in Ikebana world.
Every Sogetsu Ikebana artist started their study from this flower style.
A teacher will show you how to hold scissors, how to use kenzan (a needle-pin holder), how to create the basic Ikebana style.
After her demonstration, you will try to make the same flower style by yourself.
You will understand the sense of space and the meaning of Ikebana with creating your artwork.
This course is led by an experienced Ikebana teacher who has certified formally by Sogetsu school of Ikebana.
The photo is the basic upright style of Sogetsu school.
Experience Fee:
18,000 yen per person (all floral materials and tax are inclusive)
All tools are rented in your experience.
If you want to buy KENZAN(a needle-pin holder) and a shallow container, and Ikebana scissors,
please let us know in advance.
We will bring tools that you want to buy.

Here is the Atelier of Ikebana artist, Mika Otani.
Even actually near to the luxury brands street, the atelier is located in a quiet high-class residential area.
Please press 101, then the long thin button(2 Chinese character on it. It's confirmation button) at the entrance. You will speak on intercom. The teacher will open the gate. Please come down the stairs, then the atelier is on the right side.

7 days before the experience day
After that, please ask us by message. If you can't find your available day on the list, please ask us by message. We want to try to manage the schedule as much as possible.
We try to save the space and the experienced Ikebana master.
If possible, we recommend strongly to book the experience 14 days before the experience.
About cancellation
If your cancellation is at least 3 weeks before in advance of the experience,
you will receive a full refund. The fee will pay back to your credit card.

If your cancellation is less than 3 weeks in advance,
you will lose the payment for the experience.
This gives us the opportunity to fill the experience.

Another experience
Mika has regular classes for her regular students. You can jump in her regular class and learn Ikebana with a lot of other regular students. But We are afraid that the number who can participate in this course is limited unfortunately as we have regular students there. The regular class will be conducted on Satuday and Tuesday.
