In this workshop, you can make paper from raw materials, and add designs using dried, pressed flowers and leaves (such as cherry blossoms and maple leaves)
From start to finish, the process takes approximately 60 minutes, encompassing the steps of making the paper, designing, drying, removing water, and heat sealing. After making your Washi paper, you can take your newly created paper home.

You'll create the paper to use in the following ways:
● 4 postcards (B4 size paper, separated into 4 individual postcards)
●A placemat (B4 size　- approximately 36cm X 25cm)
● A lampshade (B4 size　- approximately 36cm X 25cm)

There are options to make the following items at home with an additional kit:

●A wall hanging(B4 size) with an option of  kits to hang on the wall  +550 yen

●A square lampshade( 4 postcard-sized pieces) with an option of  kits to make a mini lampshade   +990 yen

Goshuin-Temple Stamp-book making English-speaking course

You can make a traditional Japanese Goshuin(Temple Stamp)book in 45 minutes by choosing your favorite papers among our over 100 varieties of patterns.  These papers are traditional Japanese Washi papers, using classic Kimono patterns. After selecting your favorite ones for the front and back covers, attach them to cardboard and also to the inside book, which opens in accordion style.

Collecting Goshuin temple stamps has been a popular custom among the Japanese to get proof of visiting shrines and temples. It would be a lovely memory to make your unique collection of your trip to Japan, as it is possible to attach some photos to the book. How about making your travel journal while you are in Kyoto?
