Step right in to the Samurai world at the foot of the largest castle in Japan. “OSAKA Castle KENDO Experience" is for families, group or individuals who have desire to learn the BUSHIDO ("WAY OF SAMURAI") values through experiencing the traditional martial arts, KENDO (WAY OF SWORD).
BUSHIDO values are the foundational behavioral and moral codes that formed the basics of Japanese mind. You will walk through this experience first by hearing a short lecture and personal testimony of the instructor whose great grandfather was one of the last Samurais. After the lecture, you will wear all the KENDO armors and will learn the basic movements of KENDO. At the end, you will get to do the KENDO match with each other.
The instructor will teach you everything in English. Q&A is always welcomed during the workshop. It is a very safe family activity but exciting enough to meet your adventurous expectation!

Tatsuya was a great instructor. I had my lesson in English, and it was very easy to understand. The instructor went at a good pace and was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing!

I honestly had a great experience. If I ever have kids they can watch me do this experience. Joking aside I learned a lot of about the history of Kendo and how to behave if I got sent through a time portal and I was challenged to a fight. Frankly, I think I would probably die in that fight but at least I knew what I was doing.

Very good experience! I would take Kendo as regular exercise if I lived in Osaka. I will come back next time. Best to bring a group of people after lunch for physical workout activities. Great environment and easy to find. Instructor very patient and it was fun. Thank you all very much for the Kendo experience! I absolutely enjoyed being there.
